POEMS
by Grandma Judy

Pauly Phillip
Pauly Phillip lived down by the lake,
and in the weeds sometimes he'd see a snake.
He usually carried a big ole stick,
and once he hit a snake with a brick.

Pauly Phillip liked going out in the boat,
he used the oars and hoped it would float.
He always wore a life preserver,
just in case the boat turned over.

Pauly Phillip would take his fishing pole,
his bait and tackle box, down to the fishing hole.
He would bait his hook and throw in the line,
to catch a fish six inches, or maybe even nine.

Pauly Phillip dreamed often of driving a car,
he wanted to drive one very very far.
He would like a four-wheel drive truck,
but getting a station wagon would be his luck.
