The Pokemon Kid
(writtten for Kris with tongue in cheek)
by Shelby M. Forrest

Little Kris says he knows all there is
About Pokemon he can know.
Has he heard there is a candle now
That burns with a Pokemon glow?

Kris is almost eleven years old
And wise in Pokemon lore.
But if he continues his poem to read,
He might learn a wee bit more.

There's Pokemon games and Pokemon cards,
And Pokemon this and that.
Out there on the Pokemon Cattle Ranch,
Cowpokes wear Pokemon hats.

On a Pokemon saddle a cowpoke sits
And carries a Pokemon prong
He uses when cows are straggling
To poke-em-on along.

If someone errs and says to Kris
It's very little he knows,
Why, Kris will likely get red in the face
And poke-em-on the nose.
