To Michelle and Anthony
by Shelby M. Forrest

Michelle and Anthony were on their way
To ride the mechanical horses
That stood in front of Meijers store
They were both excited, of course.

Michelle held Anthony by the hand.
She was like a little mother.
After all, she was the elder, and
He was her little brother.

Michelle looked after Anthony
She was really quite the sage.
'Listen to me, you little boy,
Cause I am twice your age'.

Michelle, indeed, is twice his age.
After all is said and done,
She's reached the ripe old age of two,
While Anthony's only one.
