For Nicole's Friends
by Shelby M. Forrest To My Good Friend, Laura Laura, we've been together now For six eventful years. We share so many memories, And each to me is dear. In softball, hockey and basketball, On the same teams we have played. Not a moment of all our friendship years For anything would I trade. Together a messy locker we shared. (You know, you weren't very neat.) But always you would stand up for me. I think you're very sweet. At Husson College I shall enroll To St. Joseph's you will go. I'll miss all the things that together we did And I'll miss you so when you go. To Fayelynne, One of my Best Friends For ten years I have known Fayelynne (Her friends all call her Faye.) In both field hockey and basketball With her I loved to play. Numerous nights at her house I've spent And we talked of many things. Mostly about just boys and stuff And what the future will bring. She makes me laugh, I enjoy her so. We've gone out on dates together. So easy it is to her to talk, And we talk about more than the weather. There's little that we can't talk about Understanding each other so well. And I think there's not a secret that To her I could not tell. She also is going away to school - Off to the U. of Maine. Her departure is going to leave me With heartaches and some pain. To Erin, Another Most Cherished Friend Erin for four years has been my good friend With me several sports she did play. And always a cheerful companion is she. Her laughter can brighten my day. Erin is often a very quiet girl, But a funny one, too, she can be. I enjoy the time that I spend with her, And she also likes being with me. Erin's someone I can talk to, and Good listener she can be. I talk so much, she has no choice. She has to listen to me. To Connecticut's University Erin, my friend , is to go. But she always will be here for me. No dearer friend could I know. |
