by Shelby M. Forrest Welcome, children, we welcome you here On the very first day of school this year. We have been waiting here just for you To show you the many fun things that we do. There's drawing and painting and working with clay Cutting up paper and with play dough you'll play And then we will work on that old alphabet. These are a few of the fun things you will get. Stories and pictures you'll get every day And many new games you will learn how to play Then out on the playground we will all go And the other children you'll soon get to know. Oh yes, to forget this would be quite wrong. Every day we will learn and we'll sing a new song So come on in here, let me give you a hug. Then later for a story, we'll sit on the rug. |
