On Every Life Raindrops Will Fall
by Shelby M. Forrest

Light drops of rain fall gently on
The petals of thirsty flowers,
Soft rain by April introduced
With fresh new cleansing showers

Gone now is Winter's chilling rain
Made hard with ice and sleet.
Brought forth by clouds of thunder as
Head-on in flight they meet.

Cycles of life like the seasons move
Producing a mixture of rain
Hard rain and soft, as they temper each life
Can naught but cause character gain.
