nature is here, it is there, it is everywhere!
you see it in a storm or even in a day...
it's everywhere can't you say so??

Frustration
by Eman
Age 12

What is Frustration?
        a volcano ready to blow
        a zit beginning to pop
a face that is beat red
        a crash of thunder
        the breaking of a twig
a rain cloud starting to pour
        broken glass on the floor
tangled in a string of thread
        losing your favorite toy
        a fight with your parents
        a cold, foggy day
        explosion of a light bulb
That is frustration!

What is so strange about being different
by Ashley

What is so strange about being different?
we are all different in our own speical way
some people get teased about being different
and this happens every day
this is a very bad thing to do
so don't do it okay
what is so strange about being different
we are all different in our special way

Caved In
by Allison

I look around trying to find a way out
trying to find an exit
but all I find are four walls
four walls I can't get past

There will be no exit
Unless Challenge is made
Sacrifice has to be chosen
a challenge will have to be made

The challenge of life
is life worth sacrifice?
or will we only see these four walls
will this be all we see?

The Butterfly
by Virginia
Age 12

Oh butterfly, my butterfly.
With her marvelous wings, full of smiling colors
she throws away the sadness
and all the darkness inside the people.

My butterfly waggles around the flowers
that do not have any colors
and with her happiness
she paints those flowers with her magical brushes.

When people is fighting
she uses her power of love,
color and freshness
She helps making them friends.

The Bird
by Virginia
Age 12

One day
When I woke up in the morning
I saw a little bird on my window.
It was singing
a beautiful song with a brilliant voice.

I took him and put it in a cage of gold.
I wanted to hear a song
with his wonderful voice
every day

The next morning
when I was awaked
there was no bird in the cage of gold
Now I understand:
every animal in the world
need to be free.

The Kite
by Zeina
Age 8

Outside the breeze blows,
for April is here
you sit upon your door step
and think upon the weather
how wonderful it could be..
to be a beautiful kite in the sky..
so all people could see,
the wonderful kite in the sky
is just like you and me!

The Storm

The storm grew worse every hour
The wind picked up and it started to shower
Even though there was no sun
All the children seemed to have lots of fun

The Blue Planet
by Jonathan
Age 10

Earth is called the blue planet
Because from space it looks blue.

Earth also has lots of beautiful landscapes
From deserts to forests and open spaces.

Big oceans surround the continents
That's why the color blue is eminent.

I like to live in my blue planet
Because there's no life in other planets.

A Biography of My Dog
by Nicolette
Age 12

I got my dog when I was about five. I got him for Christmas.   My Mom and Dad put him on my bed Christmas morning while I was sleeping.   He was the cutest little puppy I had ever seen, and he was mine!!

I played with him all the time and he used to lay on me while I was sitting on the couch or relaxing on the floor.   My Dad and I would take him for walks. He was a very small dog and wouldn't grow much.   I remember in the summer he would climb the steps of our pool and he would walk along the edge of the pool and then jump in and he would swim to me.   Then when he got out he looked a little like a rat!

On October 11, 1997 something horrible happened.   It was a Saturday afternoon and we had planned to go to my Aunt's house out in New Jersey, but first they had to drop me off at a party a few hours later then this all took place

My Mom and Dad were upstairs and I was in the livingroom watching television, and my sister was playing wiht her toys.   I went upstairs to see how much longer my parents would be.   My father was blowdrying his hair and my Mom was packing.   My Dad glanced out the window to see a a couple walking their dog in front of our house.   It seemed as if everything was good until he glanced again and the couple was still there.   So he opened the window and asked what was wrong they replied, "There is a Yorkie lying in the street".

Our dog was a Yorkshire terrier, a purebred dog.   We all looked at each other and thought the same thing, "was it our dog?".   We stampeded down the stairs, each of us breathing very heavy at the thought it might be our dog, Piccolo. My Dad ran outside, I ran around the house screaming "Piccolo" (my dog's name), and my Mom just looked out the window knowing it was him who had passed away.   My Dad had to pick him up, crying.   We all were, for our dog who had once been ours was gone, but always in our hearts.

For all you people who have dogs, don't ignore them because they are like angels, they walk in and out of your life without a trace, only the memories and the fact that you will reunite with them keeps you going strong.   Trust me, I know.
