Animals
by Vicky
Age 8
Animals are very sweet
Not one doesn't like to eat
I love animals Oh yes I do !
Mum loves them all too.
Almost every animal loves to run
Loving animals is lots of fun
So I hope you love animals along with me.

Ghostmobile
by Doug
Step inside my ghostmobile
extraordinary most mobile.
It has no rubber, steel or glass,
it needs no oil, grease or gas.
To start it up here's all you do,
turn off the lights and then shout Boo!

Fairy Dreamer
by Leah
Age 12
Dream on dreamer,
close your eyes,
said into the dark, cold night,
take my hand,
and hold on tight,
Fairy Dreamer, you're all right.
The harsh words spoken,
they must be broken,
and fairy dreamer,
sweet fairy dreamer,
we still must be alive
we must always fight to strive.
And the darkness that will bound us,
and eventually surround us,
will always, always, never be there.
Sadness, anger, and fear,
crested upon my fairy dear,
created once again a strain,
pouring down like acid rain,
The sacred tune already sung,
so young,
so young fairy dreamer,
and together, with our hands held,
we can scare the darkness away.

Mornin!
by Nicole W. (Princess)
Age 11
Virginia
The brittle seina trees gently sway in the slight beeze
The sun peeks over the green grassy hills to look at me
The squirrels and rabbits stretch and yawn
Waiting eagerly to start their day
"In the morning it looks like someone has just splashed
beautiful, fluorescent water color over a clean canvas", some might say
But to me it's just another morning in normal ol' Wisconsin
Tiny beads of water on the the juicy red strawberries
I think I ought to pick some

What To Do
by ?
What to do!
What to do!
Put some mustard in your shoe,
Fill your pockets of soot,
Drive a nail in your FOOT,
Put some sugar in your hair,
Place your toys upon the stair,
Smear some jelly on the latch,
Eat some mud and strike a match,
Draw a picture on the wall,
Roll some marbles down the hall,
Pour some ink in daddy's cap,
NOW QUICKLY GO AND TAKE A NAP.

Path
by Leah Marie
Look behind the shadows,
tell me what you see,
maybe you can find a road,
a good path that might be.
But what if you're not that lucky,
and choose the bumpy way,
will you still have what you need
to get from day to day?
Sometimes you have to face the truth,
as bad as it may be,
to join my faith,
and my side,
to be best friends with me.
Now's the time to realize,
who you've been all along,
so I'll decide who to stick with,
whose side I'm really on.
Somewhere deep inside you,
you know that I am right.
So please tell me my dearest friend,
why choose the path of dark instead of light?
You know who you are,
that's why it's sad.
Please change now,
or you'll wish you had.
this path you want to take.
It's not my fault you make mistakes,
but I have to live with them too,
And the biggest mistake that you might make,
might involve me losing you.
And somewhere deep inside you,
you know that I am right,
so why would you choose the path of dark,
instead of the path of light?

Friendship
by Elisabeth, Age 12
Written with a pen,
Sealed with a kiss,
If you are my friend,
please answer this,
Are we friends?
Or are we not?
You told me once,
But I forgot,
Of all the friends,
I've ever met,
You're the one,
I won't forget,
So tell me now,
And tell me true,
So I can say,
I'm here for you
And if I die,
Before you do,
I'll go to Heaven,
And wait for you,
I'll give the Angels,
Back their wings,
And risk the loss,
of everything,
Just to prove,
My friendship is true...
To have a friend like you

The Drawing Pin
by Emma, Age 7
When I was seven years old I got a drawing pin stuck in me.
I screamed and screamed till I calmed down.My mum put
a plaster on and it was fine till nine . When I went to bed
it started to hurt. But I soon calmed down and went to sleep.
I had forgot all about it in the morning and it had stopped
hurting.

Spiders
by Kristina, Age 10
Spiders Spiders all around me.
If I take one step it will
crawl on me.
They are on the streets and on the
steps.
But one thing
they are a
little cute.
They might
go up your
pants but they're
still very, very cute.

The Two Baboons
by Helen, Age 8
There once was two baboons
Who knew how to swim
They knew how to do everything
Except for eating peach.
Their favorite food and they don't know
How to eat it right.
Some people think that those baboons
Were smarter than the world.
But since they saw they could not eat
They knew they could not talk.
But those baboons have never been seen.
